Like with Lake El Salto the best time of year to visit this spot is from September to June. For around $2000 you can book a week long package but shorter stays are also possible. A nice fact to know is maybe that this is a man made lake.
Of course there are many more lakes in Mexico you can visit for your fishing adventure. Lakes like Comedero, Baccarac or Agua Milpa are all becoming more and more popular. All these lakes lure you with the double digit bass that you can catch there. Although the newer lakes will hold more fish the older ones are the best choice for the larger fish.
There was a time that there was great concern about the damage that was done by over fishing these lakes. The authorities took good precaution measures to stop this from happening. And because of this, these areas are again perfect for catching those big ones. Every year more fishermen and women are taking the trip to one of these Mexican lakes.
