Uploading your own articles to article submission directories is a popular way to get free back links and direct small amounts of traffic to your website. This article looks at a few of these directories.

You can write articles and submit them to article submission directories you like. This way you can promote your website for free. Do research about your subject, write a 300 to 500 word article and submit it to a directory of your choice.

There are numerous article submission directories you may choose from. Most of them are free to join. I have submitted my original articles to Ezinearticles, Goarticles and Isnare to name a few.

Numerous web sites and electronic magazines are looking for great articles which they may publish free of charge. They get content by visiting article submission directories, searching for articles related to their niche and then publishing the content. Your article may one day be published on a few web sites or in a couple of e zines.

Good strategies to employ are doing research on your competitors to see what they are up to. Also do your keyword research. Know your audience and try to give a solution to their problems in your articles.

You can get a small flow of quality traffic to your web site for free by doing article submissions regularly. It may take a few weeks to see positive results, but after that you should get some regular traffic from people clicking on your author biography links. However, do not expect hundreds of visitors per day to stop by your web site.

Something that I myself struggle with is speed and consistency. To succeed with article submissions you need to write fast and on a daily basis. I tend to write slowly and sometimes I cannot seem to write an article. The quickest way is to just go for it and write whatever finishes the article. In the article submission world, the person with the most articles stand the best chance to get traffic generating sales, clicks or leads.

The only way to learn how to write articles is to write them. Study and adhere to the article submission guidelines of article submission directories. Another thing is to write the article without using html code. When someone wants to republish your article on their web site, they probably do not want to bother with html. I used to use some html code in my article submissions, but now I try to avoid doing it.

Your articles must be your own work, be of standard quality and should contain information useful to potential readers. Avoid using article spinning software to create numerous articles for directory submissions. You can choose to submit your writing manually or use article submission software or services to help you.

It may become difficult to keep track of all your submitted work if you are using a software or article submission service. This could make it harder to tell whether your efforts are useful or not. Generally submission directories will give you at least a statistic of the number of page views your article has had since publication.

I have felt like giving up on article submission directories quite a few times, yet it is still a simple and free way to get traffic and back links to your web site. You may read more about the subject and try it out for yourself if you wish to do this today.
