Trusting children to the care of people who are practically strangers is difficult for any parent. Even if parents would rather stay home and watch the kids, not everyone can afford to. But there is something you can do to make sure their kids are in good care. Nanny cameras have been around for a long time now and have constantly been upgraded to provide maximum performance.

Single Parents and Nanny Cameras

When you re a single parent, raising children becomes twice as challenging than it should be when you have a partner to share responsibilities with. Single parents are caught in the dilemma of whether to keep a job and be away each day in order to provide for the children, or to stay home and attend to the children s needs.

Unfortunately, most single parents are forced to work and leave the kids in the care of nannies. If you re in the same predicament as millions of single parents are, you need to know that you can keep an eye on your kids and the nanny even while at work with nanny cameras.

A nanny camera will give you the reassurance that you need when you leave your kids in the care of nannies. True, nothing compares to staying home and watching over the kids yourself, but when you have to leave home, you can at least have peace of mind with the thought that you re doing something to keep tabs on your kids safety.

What You Need

First of all, you need to have a video cam to serve as your nanny camera. But keep in mind that you need an inconspicuous camera, something you can install without the nanny knowing it s there. These days, you can find a nanny camera in many different forms. There are nanny cameras that come in the shape of air fresheners, clocks, stereos, picture frames, and stuffed toys.

Aside from the nanny camera, you need a video surveillance software, which usually comes with the nanny camera, and of course, a computer and an Internet connection in your workplace. Once installed, the software will turn your computer into a video recorder and receptor which will allow you to view the images from the nanny camera at any time of the day.

Where You Need It

There are three key areas in your house that should be installed with a nanny camera. These places are where your kids interact most with the nanny the bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen. But if you can afford to get more than three nanny cameras, you can mount one in every room of the house.

Nanny cameras are usually easy to install and mount. Your only concern would be to choose a spot that offers a good, wide view of the room and to make sure that the camera looks as unobtrusive and as natural as possible. You want to catch see your nanny interacting with your kids the way she would when she thinks no one is around.
